My wife and I went into Kight today to discuss a bathroom remodel. We were there approximately 15 minutes waiting on two Kight associates discussing some work related issues. Finally one of the associates said he would be right with us. We waited another 15 minutes without assistance and finally left. I understand associates need to discuss issues, but not at the expense of a customer. No excuse.
Kight is a distributor of building materials and they also do installation. Their parent company is Carter lumber. We are building a house in Kentucky and our contractor likes their ability to show basically everything you need to build or remodel a home. They have an excellent showroom that has material samples for everything, maybe not every color, but pretty much anything you would want. Roofing, siding, lumber, trusses [they were the most competitive solution for the trusses which they manufacture with a CNC machine so they are all exactly the same, and cost way less than having your contractor build them on site.] But... there are some t... Make sure you check pricing at other stores. We found they are about the same as home depot and Lowe's or 3-5% higher for most. I would recommend them.
( The Hammer ) Let’s talk about Kight for a minute. There is a big difference between Kight and the big box stores. If you want real help, experience, and good products you need to goto Kight. They spent as much time as needed helping me pick out the products I needed, making sure they were ordered correctly, and making sure they were not damaged when they came in. They asked questions of me and covered things the big box stores never would have. You are spending money on your family and your home you need to make sure you are taken care of. So goto Kight. Several employees were unable to help me and so I had to wait for the manager while everyone stood around.... Only to be told that they do not have the prices of the materials that I needed. This store maybe good for some things, but as a contractor I doubt, I will ever return.
