I had multiple contractors come in to assess situation: Knights Masonry, Dryzone Basements, Groundworks, Keller Waterproofing, etc. Groundworks proposal involved lifting the foundation 2 inches After my own research, I discovered previous repairs completed 20 years ago by Basement Tech (part of Groundworks) were done incorrectly and covered up (filling cracks, putting bandaids on, covering with white construction board, leaving gap between foundation/sill unaddressed). If I had gone with Groundworks, my entire foundation would have more extensive damage. Avoid Groundworks! Jim from Keller Waterproofing developed a solid solution that involved resolving the settling issue (putting in steel rebar footers), correctly sealing cracks/smoothing walls, extending all 4 gutters 10 ft out underground with pressure caps (driving water away from foundation), putting into two steel rebar support columns, and addressing sill/foundation gap. He provided a comprehensive and lasting plan. The columns were a bit pricey but they were needed worked with us on pricing. They completed all this work in 5 days! Very hardworking team! If you want a company that will provide the "right, long lasting" solution, genuinely cares about their customers, and honesty, I'd recommend Keller Waterproofing. I absolutely will be using them again in the future to address backyard swale/trench building. Highly recommend!
