John's Boot & Shoe Repair

I first went to RedWing and the person at the front desk was stunned by the broken stitching on my outsole. Their quote was expensive and had a long 4-8week turnaround time with a notice that they weren’t even sure if it was repairable. So I made the choice to try John’s and I’m happy I did. This guy came out with gloves on and looked over my boots. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix them and gave me an immediate price (I didn’t tell him but it was much cheaper than RedWing). I’ve been coming to John since he was on the West Side of Youngstown. He will give it to you straight - if the shoes are beyond repair, he will tell you. He has repaired over 50 pairs of my shoes, boots, sandals and purses. He’s brought back shoes I thought were goners and fixed my favorite purse twice! Just pay the money and let him work his artistry - this is a skill that is worth every penny.

He replaced a leather end on a guitar strap for me, and it’s better than the original. Friendly service. Good price. Fast turnaround. Would highly recommend. Thanks!
