My husband and I have had more than our share of bad contractors in the past few years.
We procrastinated for fear of another job gone wrong.
We decided to shop local and picked out our samples from Fogelsonger's. I was impressed with the amount of samples.
I am happy to say that they kept to the schedule. The crew was on time, polite and they did a wonderful job. I'm so happy with my new floors and I highly recommend Folgesonger to everyone.

Heard a lot of good about your store. Made plans to meet my wife there on a Saturday. You were closed and you close early on Friday. We are ready for carpet and wood flooring. How do you expect people to come in and shop when they work 8-5 and your closed by the time we get out. You would think being a flooring store you would have Saturday hrs.

I’ll start out my saying we had our full bathroom done last year and loved it. This year we had them do the floor in our dining room and living room and loved that as well. The kitchen and entry way a entirely different story. The guys showed up over an hour early and then seemed very inconvenienced that I didn’t have my car moved for them. They looked at the subfloor which we had ceramic tile down and said they’d have to charge us an additional $150 to grind the floor because we were unable to get all the mortar off the floor. The one guy noticed there was a soft soft in the floor next to the stairs and I said yes I had noticed that too. The...I’ll start out my saying we had our full bathroom done last year and loved it. The other guy said my husband could nail up a 2x4 in the basement to help support it. Meanwhile the first guy was bouncing up and down on it the entire time. Then the other guy said “quit bouncing on it or you’re going to break it and we’ll have to replace it.” They started nailing down the under laminate and once they finished I had to make the decision which way the tile faced. When they came back to start laying our luxury vinyl floor they said it was a good thing that we went with a staggered pattern because our floor was very wavy. I mean I’m not a flooring contractor but don’t you think they would have mentioned that our subfloor should have been replaced! I came home that night to glue left on the floor, high spots in the floor, and very visible seams. Also, when they left didn’t nail down the finishing strip between the living room and entryway because they didn’t have the right one with them. My husband called and spoke to Joe, the manager, and expressed our concerns with the floor. We wanted Joe to come out and look at the floor. Joe was scheduled to come out on Tuesday and he had to call to reschedule. When Joe came out he told me that the floor looked great. He explained the visible seams that I see are because the tiles have beveled edges and since we choose to not do grout that’s why we see them. I showed Joe the glue that was left on the floor and the high spots. Joe told me that the glue spots don’t show up till there’s dirt on them so that’s probably why they weren’t cleaned up that day. I told Joe “they were there that night when I got home”. He explained the finished strip was his fault too because our floors are different heights. When I talked to him about the unevenness of my floor he said that’s probably because I have different sized beams in my basement and that’s not their responsibility to fix it’s mine. Again I’m not a flooring contractor! Joe set an appointment for the installers to come back out on Thursday which my appointment was between 8-9. He called the day before stating they had to finish another job that morning which is completely fine and said they’d be there between 11-12. They showed up at 12:40. They came in nailed down the finishing strip cleaned up some of the glue. There’s still spots of glue on the floor! Sloppy sloppy sloppy work! I’m very disappointed!
