I highly recommend Jim for furniture repair. When the support pieces to the extension leaf on our dining room table broke just before a busy holiday weekend, Jim came to the rescue. After suggesting different options in terms of price and timing, he came to our house and fixed the table within a few days. His repair has actually made the leaf easier to use and the table more sturdy than the original design. I especially appreciated him fitting us into his busy schedule and completing the work in such a timely and professional manner.

Jim refinished an antique dining room table beautifully. The color and finish are perfect. This table is the third piece of furniture he has done for me. The other pieces are painted not stained. They have held up beautifully in an active room. Jim responded to my request quickly, his fees are very fair, and the work is done in a reasonable length of time. I would recommend him wholeheartedly.

This was the second time we have used Hillhurst and they continue to give A-1 service. Jim came to the house to look at a bureau that my wife inherited from her Grandmother. While here we showed him a couple of dining room chairs that the dogs had chewed sorners off of. Within 2 weeks all 3 pieces were beautifully restored and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. Great people, great work.

I just can't get over how beautiful my bedroom set looks now. So much of what is sold today is cheap and shoddy. It looks nice -- for a year or two. Then the lack of quality begins to show.
It is worth every penny to revive hardwood furniture with dovetail joints, and solid wood. I would recommend Hillhurst Fix and Finish unreservedly, enthusiastically. They are perfectionists at heart who take pride in their work.
