Love everyone over at Heritage! This is the only place ill take my car to be worked on. I can trust what they say when they tell me something is wrong. Always wonderful about getting my car on the schedule! Best people to work with for your car needs!
I have been using the Heritage team for years. We bring our personal vehicles in, and now also the work trucks. They get us in quickly, tell us what they find during inspections, and let me make the decisions. No upsells, but knowledge and options. They have saved us more times than I can remember when something unexpected happens to a vehicle. I recommend Scott, Michael, Rorry, Tammy, Cheyenne, and the whole crew to anyone that needs car repairs.
This is now my go to car repair and maintenance place. They have treated me with so much care and they just want the best for my car. They have noticed and been willing to fix many problems that have come to rise and I couldn’t be more grateful thank you Heritage auto repair.
Honestly I feel conflicted writing this review because the people are very nice and I enjoy talking to and very professional. There policy and procedures don’t make sense. I got my car towed with a no start issue and I immediately was set up with an “advanced diagnostic” fee which is $225, I suppose I can understand since It’s technically an hour and half worth of labor. But months before I had my car inspected for an oil leak only for $90. Along side of that they figured out everything that was wrong with my car and what was good or soon needing replacement. What I am not happy about was that they “technically” figured out why my car wasn’t... What I am not happy about was that they “technically” figured out why my car wasn’t starting because my ignition distributor went out and they wanted around $850 to replace the entire unit. I was told even after replacement they might not fully fix the issue and there could be more. Also the diagnostic fee doesn’t get put with the $850 to replace the entire distributor so it would have been over $1000 and I was told it wasn’t a guarantee fix. So I declined the $1000 plus price and had it towed back to my house for a mobile mechanic to come look at it and find out it was the ICM inside the distributor and the part cost $60 at O’Reilly’s for my particular vehicle. I ended up paying two hundred dollars for “Technically” the right diagnosis for my car not starting but ended up not being able to figure out it was just a cheap internal part. A shop like this that has all the certifications with AAA and Napa Auto Parts should be able to figure out something like that along with the price to work with them. I just feel like I wasted my time and money with this shop this time around. I wish I could get my money back, I do feel conflicted because the people are great and helped me out before but after this I don’t think I’ll take my vehicle back.
Having to deal with the stupidity that comes with an insurance claim is mind boggling and at times feels completely counterproductive! Until I met Michael Rykman at Heritage Auto Repair in Caldwell!! Michael literally handled everything, from parts being replaced, having to handle the vehicle being moved to different locations for additional repairs! Michael literally took a crappy situation and made it into an amazing experience!! Bravo Mr. Rykman and Heritage Auto Repair!! Thank you!!
