As someone new to the area and in need of plywood for my kitchen cabinets, I initially turned to Home Depot, unsure of local suppliers. After purchasing 30 sheets and spending too much time digging through poor-quality stock, only to find voids, exposed knots, and warping once I got them home, I decided it was time to find a better option. Luckily, someone recommended the Hardwood Centre, and I couldn't be more thankful. This place is a gem for sheet goods. They offer a wide range of unfinished and finished birch plywood, as well as other veneers, all at prices far better than what I was paying at Home Depot. The quality is leagues above the subpar materials I was getting before. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional, which I especially appreciate as a woman in woodworking - a positive experience I don’t always encounter. They even offer delivery at a very reasonable rate. The Hardwood Centre is now my go-to for plywood. So, if you're still buying plywood from Home Depot, stop. Give these folks a try - you’ll get superior quality at a better price while supporting a local business.
