Handy Woman on a Mission

Jamie came to my house to fix my washing machine. She found the problem and charged me for the part and charged me her fee. I paid her. She was to come back and install the part in two days. She never show up and she did not return the part that I paid for. Nor did she answer my calls. After about a week and many texts she texted me back saying that she was in the hospital and that I needed to get someone else to fix the washing machine. In looking at other reviews, I notice that this was an ongoing thing. I feel that I was scammed. Jamie is very unprofessional and I would not recommend her for anything.

Jamie came out to our house at the time we asked for. She toke a look at our dryer & cleaned it out she let us know that it was the element and showed us how she found it out she took us with her step by step so we weren’t lost then we paid her what we owed on the spot & she reassured us she would come out once she has ordered the Element and it has arrived. Sure enough she came out & fixed it when it arrived within 30 mins. She was an excellent Women for the job I will definitely call her if I need her again she made me feel I could trust her and not only did she do that but stuck to her word I couldn’t of asked for better service ! I had a clothes dryer heating element issue that I just couldn’t figure out. I called Jamie and she came to my house within a day. She worked her schedule around mine and showed up within minutes of when she said she would. After a little cleaning and tinkering, she had my dryer working good as new! I was surprised at how little it costed me given the time of day and it being a house call! I highly recommend Handy Woman on a Mission for appliance repair!

My review is similar to Carolyn Sutton (submitted 2 months ago, today is Oct 18, 2025. Jamie came to fix Maytag washing machine on Tuesday, I went to buy 1 of the 2 parts that was needed all the way in Mooresville NC (at Tribles appliance parts center) 1.5hrs from where I live. She told me where to order it. Today, now Saturday, she hasn’t answered my calls nor texts. Her fee was $125 and I gave her $80 down. I do NOT recommend Jamie. You do not ignore your customers. If you have a personal issue, you tell your customers that. But you do not ignore customers.
