Purchased a protection plan for about $800 and recently the swivel on a bar stool malfunctioned. It’s been over a month and they are still reviewing the claim because they ‘are busy’. Unacceptable and the definition of poor service. Use their services with caution.

I bought a furniture warranty through this company. BIG MISTAKE! I had an incident that caused damage to my furniture. I got out the warranty (cost me over $200), filed a claim, and was flatly denied.
The warranty contradicts itself:
What is covered: "Any puncture, cut, tear, and rip from a specific incident"
What is not covered: "any stress tear (tearing or ripping of upholstery within one-half inch of and parallel to the seam line)" If you are going to have an accident with this furniture, make sure that accident is at least 5/8 of an inch beyond the seam - otherwise you are screwed.

However, the warranty also says "damage due to . . . ink, paint, crayon, marker, or pencil . . .are not covered." Also, pet stains are not covered. Read the fine print - NOTHING IS COVERED. I learned an expensive lesson today. Don't buy anything from this company. They walk off with my $200 and the only thing I get is taken.

I had not heard anything for more than 4 months on my claim, so I called and waited on hold for almost an hour (when I tried to look up status online, it couldn't find my claim). Turns out the claim was denied and they sent the response to a non-existent email address. I paid way too much money for such a "protection plan." I would like a formal apology and for the damage to be covered. Do not ever get the warranty from Guardsman, it’s a scam. I purchased a leather set from Rothmans before they closed. Kept my leather set covered and one day i noticed that they were scratches and a rip on my love seat. Mind you they are only 4 years old. Filled out the form and submitted and got declined. Called customer service and got shut down right away.

The protection plan offered through Guardsman Furniture was an absolute waste of money. The website is usually down and costumer service is terrible. After a few months of sending emails back and forth of damages on my couch I was informed it was not even covered under the protection plan. Please save your money and don’t even bother with useless plan.
