Aaron and his team at Gold City Automotives of Goldsboro are the only place we have taken our vehicles for over 10 years. They are a Christian-based organization that is honest, accommodating, very reasonable, and has the BEST customer service! We have even purchased repaired vehicles from them. The new location is so convenient and beautiful. All of our out-of-town family members bring their cars to Goldsboro's Gold City... it is worth the drive to know you will be taken are of with the most sincere and caring people! I dropped off my vehicle a week before leaving for a 3-week TDY, requesting a tune-up and minor cosmetic work. While away, I called multiple times for updates and was told things were progressing, with just one part remaining. When I returned and visited the shop in person, I was shocked to find that no work had been done—and my vehicle’s battery had died from sitting unused. Matt at the front desk was respectful and apologetic. He explained that things have been disorganized due to staffing transitions and Aaron, the co-owner I’ve always dealt with, being out of town. However, when the matter was brought to the attention of the other co-owner, Sam, his response was dismissive and, quite frankly, troubling. He brushed off my concerns, took Matt’s apology as “good enough,” and made no effort to make things right. As a long-time loyal customer and a member of the military, I was deeply offended by the lack of respect and outright disregard shown—especially after having to request my military discount be applied four separate times. It was clear through both his attitude and his comments that Sam lacks respect for the military community and carries discriminatory biases. His demeanor was not just unprofessional—it felt racially motivated and exclusionary. When Aaron is present, service is reliable, professional, and respectful. Unfortunately, without his leadership, the culture at this shop appears to suffer significantly. I would not recommend bringing your vehicle here unless Aaron is on-site to oversee the work.
Excellent customer service and communication regarding what needs to be done for the repair. I will definitely return to Goldcity for future repair needs for all my vehicles.
Gold City tire has excellent service. The people are very professional and knowledgeable.
