Kamen came out and replaced the P-trap under my kitchen sink after the original one cracked. Unfortunately, the new installation was not sealed properly, and the pipe is now leaking. Since they cashed my $375 check, I’ve been unable to get anyone to come back to correct the issue. I’m very disappointed that I paid for a repair that was not completed properly and have received no response regarding fixing their workmanship. Update: Kamen and Dom came out this afternoon and repaired the leak at the joint of the newly installed pipe. Dom explained to Kamen where the original installation had been done incorrectly, and they promptly corrected the issue. Both were very apologetic and assured me that if I experience any further problems, I should contact them immediately and they will take care of it. I appreciate their responsiveness in resolving the situation and standing behind their work.

Gross negligence, deceptive business practices, and corporate shell games. A plumber from First Chicago Plumbing caused a catastrophic flood in my home due to pure negligence, resulting in over $26,000 in documented structural and property damage. Instead of taking immediate accountability for the disaster they caused, the manager, Eugene, played games to dodge responsibility for an entire week before finally emailing me a Certificate of Insurance for Aqua Artisans LLC. Now that the insurance claim is open, they are doubling down on dodging responsibility to avoid a premium spike. Eugene and his partner are now playing a corporate shell game, telling the insurance adjuster that the plumber was actually working under a completely separate business name—First Chicago Plumbing—on the day of the flood, which has completely stalled the claim. Instead of taking ownership of their pure negligence, Eugene is hiding behind multiple corporate entities and withholding the correct insurance routing data while my daughter is currently admitted to the hospital. This matter is being formally escalated to the Illinois Department of Public Health Plumbing License Board and the Chicago BACP for deceptive trade practices. Avoid doing business with Eugene or his shifting companies unless you want your property ruined and your family left holding the bill.
