Took my deposit and gave me a receipt for "no refund" on a custom piece of jewelry before a design was even agreed on. They required complete payment on the custom piece before it was ordered. I feel like they were much more concerned with getting money than they were at producing a satisfactory custom piece of jewelry. They didn't even send a prototype to me but made me look at it across their counter on a screen that was angled to make me unable to properly look at it. Of course at this point they were basically holding $5,000 of mine hostage to either approve this design or pick something else in the store. Nora Fagan was beyond helpful in getting a replacement diamond for my wife's ring that she had lost. She was patient with our needs and helped us find the perfect solitare. She ordered diamonds from a few different sources over the span of a couple weeks until we found the one that called to us. She knows her gems and is a hidden gem herself. I will 💯 go to her store over any commercialized retailer from here on. This is one time that buying local can actually save you a ton of money, as she doesn't charge as high of a markup as other jewelry stores do. I got my necklace fixed today, the jump ring for the pendant was worn down. it's perfect! Went into Fagan's for the first time today, and their shop is so clean and beautiful! Kinda felt like a movie with the 3 cute pomeranians yapping as I walked in. Very zhuzh lol. Anyway, the shop is cool, the ladies working the counter were funny (we laughed after they accidently told me they stripped down the engraving on my pendant, mixing up that task for another piece). I wish I would've thanked whoever working fixed my necklace personally, he did look busy though!
