Let's talk! My vehicle was first serviced at this shop due to a set of symptoms it was displaying. First, I received noticed that it was my catalytic converter, but I had it replaced the year before. Trusting in their expertise, I had it replaced. Well, I made it a 1/2 mile up the road and the vehicle's symptoms appeared again and I was stopped on the side of the road. AAA Tow truck arrived and back to the shop I go.
They did offer to correct the overfilling I did to my AC that I had done in my other vehicle. It was much appreciated. Since I had to return my vehicle again. Which was nice overall.

However, it was explained to me that I needed a new battery. I was informed that they had to jump it each time. I was quoted for a battery. I declined because I had warranty on my battery through O'Reilly's. They removed the battery and I returned with a new replacement battery. Upon release of the vehicle, it made it home but not without the vehicle's issues appearing again.
Next, I let the vehicle sit because repairs are not cheap. Every time I bring it in I'm quoted for a new problem, new parts, and more labor. Well, couldn't let the vehicle I paid all that money to fix just sit. So the codes were cleared and I took a gamble by driving it. On the side of the road I sat. A AAA Tow again to the shop for the original issue. Quoted for another replacement part and additional spark plug change.
Upon pick up, everything was okay. The vehicle's codes returned on the drive home but the symptoms weren't showing. Made it a couple of days then ...BOOM...the original symptoms appeared again. I was on the side of the road again. Called AAA learned I had used ALL my free rows on taking this vehicle to and from this shop. Not to mention, the AAA tow driver and I are on first name basis. We've seen each other so many times...I guess. The shop did offer to pick up the vehicle and did not charge me when I needed additional tows.
I questioned what my next move would be. Should I return it to the shop or not? It's becoming costly. I could have bought a new motor by now with the cost of labor and parts. I want to trust once I pay for an issue to be repaired, that it is actually repaired. I respected my Mechanic so I continued on.
I called again, they towed my vehicle to the shop. I was quoted $300 for labor, $262 for fuel pump, and $31 for fuel filter. With tax it was approximately six hundred and thirty something. I took a screenshot of the invoice then called parts stores to pick up my own parts. Then, I arrived to the shop to speak with the owner but his son informed me he wouldn't be available until around 10 am. My next attempt was calling and texting. He agreed to accept the parts I personally purchased from AutoZone and provide a military discount that would decrease my bill to $248 (basically labor discounted).
Great thing! The next day I received notice that the repairs were completed. I checked the invoice again, now my discounted labor had additional labor added on the bill which brought the labor cost back to it's original $300. Upon pick up, I questioned the addition of the additional labor and the military discount I was supposed to receive. His son stated it was discounted and it's usually $133 separately to replace the fuel filter.
As a single woman, only wanting honest repairs. I could have fought his claim with the screenshots but it wasn't worth it. LACK OF HONESTY. I hated that happened, because I respected them. I received my receipt and drove. I made it to the entrance of my neighborhood and the original symptoms appeared again. I'm thinking that ALL of the parts they assumed were causing the original issue. Actually, were not.
In all, the jobs were done properly but the problem persists. Which could be due to the vehicle itself. Who knows... I did refer my friend to the shop and his vehicle is running with no issues. So again, who knows...
Update: I went elsewhere and my vehicle is running like a champ. This shop is good at replacing parts, but not at diagnostics. My friend's ended up elsewhere too.

Let me begin this review by stating I did myself no favors and gave this shady shop every possible piece of ammunition to completely and totally fleece me. I installed a set of coilovers on my car at the Seymour Johnson auto hobby shop, but unfortunately, before I got to dial the ride height in their low profile lift went down. As fate would have it, all of my tools are at my home in Florida because I am retiring in a year and returning there. I called Speedworks and they highly recommended this shop. As fate would have it, all of my tools are at my home in Florida because I am retiring in a year and returning there. I called Speedworks and they highly recommended this shop. When I called, like a dummy, I gave them all the details I just mentioned above, my first mistake. Speaking with the technician, he stated “no problem it will only take a few hours”…I took him at his word because I know setting ride height doesn’t take long (I never got an official quote), my second big mistake. I dropped the car off and got word it was done the next day, when I pull up the rear is the exact same height as when I dropped it off (I assume no fault of the tech, he said it was as high as it could go, remember this when I mention hours billed). So I go to check out and the gentlemen at the desk jokingly states “that’ll be $8000”, I laugh at the joke then he states “the total is $567”. I pause, while I am completely confused and floored. I ask, how much was the alignment “$79.99”, upon asking where all of the other charges stem from, he states “he was on your car for 6 hours, I saw him”. Both of my mistakes mentioned earlier where COMPLETELY a part of the end result here. While I made mistakes on my end, it does not make what this shop did to someone who has spent 18 1/2 years serving our country acceptable in any way. Be VERY VERY VERY cautious when you choose this shop, get a quote and don’t assume everyone is going to operate with integrity. I am not mad, have no reason to be…just got another life lesson on how everyone operates with a very wide scale of ethics and integrity 🤷🏻♂️
