A good mechanic is one thing, but a good mechanic that is also able to diagnose older vehicles with non-factory parts is getting very rare. Thankfully, D J Automotive has North Platte covered. I had this shop handle a few engine and body items that I didn’t have the experience for/didn't feel like trying myself, but the main issue was a terrible drivetrain vibration at interstate speeds from an older overdrive transmission and aftermarket overdrive trans mount setup. Very honest and accurate in their estimate. They tell you exactly what needs to be done & they do it right They rebuilt the transmission in our 1956 Chevy

I had them look and fix the air conditioner on a car I had purchased recently. The car had some issues with mice. The mice seemed to like the wiring on the front of the car. They were able to find the chewed wiring and repaired it. They serviced and replaced some sensors. For the work done, the price was ok. The air conditioning now works great. I plan on coming back to have some work done on another vehicle.
