I have loved this shop for a while now, but the last experience I had was upsetting, and I don't know if I'll return... I recently went into Crystal Joys to treat myself to some new goodies, due to having a difficult week. Upon walking in, there was a woman reorganizing the shelves maybe three to four feet away from me. Didn't acknowledge me, didn't even look up from what she was doing. No worries, maybe she was hyper focused on her work. I started walking around and when another few customers walking in the door, immediately the employee stopped what she was doing and greeted/interacted with them. Again, I tried giving her the benefit... I have loved this shop for a while now, but the last experience I had was upsetting, and I don't know if I'll return... Upon walking in, there was a woman reorganizing the shelves maybe three to four feet away from me. Didn't acknowledge me, didn't even look up from what she was doing. No worries, maybe she was hyper focused on her work. I started walking around and when another few customers walking in the door, immediately the employee stopped what she was doing and greeted/interacted with them. Again, I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt, chalking it up to she didn't realize I had walked in when she was organizing the shelving, so I kept on. I tried understanding from her point of view until she passed me two to three times and didn't say a word, didn't acknowledge me, didn't ask if I was doing okay, nothing, and while I understand some times there are distractions, one of the times she walked passed me, she went right up to the other customers to see if they were still doing okay, and this, I cannot find an excuse for. I felt completely unwelcomed by this particular employee and the energy from her was very off putting to me. I was in there, probably 20 minutes, and not once did she even do so much as smile in my direction. Thankfully, another employee came out from the back of the store and was warm and kind asking if I needed any help finding anything and eventually rang me out at the end. Thank you to that employee for her kindness, but I don't think I will be back, as the blatant disregard for my presence by the other employee made me uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and unwanted.
