Although the outcome was not how we planned, Blake and his team did everything and anything possible to help recover our hard drive. Brought laptop in 3 times and they charged plenty each time and never actually fixed the problem. I had them then quote me a new laptop and decided against it. When I went to pickup my old laptop I asked if I owed them anything and they said no and proceeded to send me a bill 2 weeks later. I brought my laptop in to someone else and it was simply a setting that needed to be turned off.
diagnostic not on point. said laptop fans weren’t running at all/overheat, bad board, I tried at home and getting upwards of 6000 rpms and nice cool temps (without running anything). sure there is something probably off. but with the amount of time they had it someone ought to have noticed the fans running at least some of the time or figured out what the issue—the “off” thing—is. least I got some refund. but needless to say I’m not going back there.
