They did a fine job and were informative but told me $219 over the phone then charge me $435. They were here for less than an hour and performing a job that doesn't have materials cost then charged $435. I have two vertically aligned fireplaces that were quoted at $219 total over the phone then charged $219 for one and an additional $210 for the other. At this price I will be cleaning my own chimney in the future.
Had them come out and do a inspection and a estimate on our fire places, for damages. Was at the house for 10 minutes. Charged us $130. And never gave us a email with a estimate with repair cost. So felt like we gave them $130 to come over and shine a flash light in our chimney and tell us it can't be used. We knew that.
The lady I made my appt., with was fairly misleading. She stated that my cost to have my chimney inspected and cleaned would be “somewhere between a 129 dollars to 219 “if extremely dirty.” Although, the workers were friendly, the main guy said my chimney was not “too bad or dirty, and was a manufactured model, so no need for a camera or anything.” I assumed my cost would be “somewhere “in between” the rates explained by their company. However, I was charged the entire 219, even though I was told “ it’s not too bad or dirty.” Additionally, if you use a card you will have to pay a fee. He also had a young guy, ( whom seemed like he was in training) go up a ladder to inspect my chimney . Not even sure he knew what he was inspecting?There was no camera used to inspect the inside of our chimney, rather a flashlight was used and was told he did not even have a camera with him. Maybe get the quote in writing before they start or they may charge ya full price! Rather disappointed in the whole experience and feel somewhat swindled! Cannot recommend.
I had a flue fire and called another chimney service who kept putting me off. Chimney Safe responded in 2 days. Joe cleaned my flue and collected a 5 gallon bucket full of debris. They did and excellent job. I will use the every year.
