Certified Fireplace and Chimney

Reed came to our home to do assessment of our non-working gas fireplace after having just purchased our home. He was knowledgeable, informative and made sure we understood. He was respectful to not only us but to our home while inspecting fireplace, logs, flue and wearing shoes covers everyone he entered house. The was no need for another quote. The technician who came out was very nice. They gave us a quote to do a lot of work that we decided not to do. We backed out of the original job but they still came out and did a different job. We asked for an invoice for the work and still have not been provided one. He came out again to look at our chimney that started to smoke when the fire was lit. He said he would be back in a week to replace a part for free, he didn't show. I called the company and they said he would be out and he would provide a printed invoice and would also email an invoice for the previous work. Had our 1993 super swanky fireplace fitted w/Osburn 1900 insert and some funky fresh tile and top it off with a spectacular chunk of walnut for the mantle…thanks to Shawn (hope I got the name right) and his demo and install team…they were timely, professional and informative. Reed was great throughout, timely, informative, professional and NOT pushy! Finally, the office manager Janet runs the whole show and is spectacular.

In an effort to help them improve I will pass on this below average rating. Technician was prompt, understood the issues on two fireplaces, suggested a solution for each one then never heard back. Stopped by the office to note my issue and one quote was sent. Second one is still outstanding. I could not suggest doing business no matter how good their techs are. I will go to another in town supplier of the same services.

I called Certified Fireplace and Chimney because we wanted our wood stoves and chimney inspected. Reed came out and inspected the system. Our system had some deficiencies, and he took time to explain what those were and how they could be brought up to proper safety standards. Reed provided an estimate same day, and we made arrangements to have the work done. When the material that was ordered arrived, Reed scheduled his team to do the installation. Everyone I had contact with during this process was professional and did a great job. Thanks!
