Called them a few weeks ago for a quote. They were rather quick to get the quote same day which was nice. They even have something fall off their books so my fence was set to be put up the next week.
They took down the old fence on Monday and were supposed to put up the new fence on Tuesday. Tuesday around noon, I called since they were not there. I got a call back that they had fallen behind on another job and they would be out first thing on Wednesday. They showed up around 11 on Wednesday and worked until 5. I got a call back that they had fallen behind on another job and they would be out first thing on Wednesday. They showed up around 11 on Wednesday and worked until 5. One of the guys told me he didn't bring enough supplies so he couldn't finish until the morning. He came back on Thursday and blocked my wife in the garage with his truck until he finished.
That evening, I noticed that they had to notch out sections of my daughters play set in order to put up the new posts. The act itself did not bother me, but I did NOT get a phone call to approve it. I called the office to complain and today (Monday the 28th), the Sales Manager came out to look for himself, he agreed that I should have been called and then finished the conversation with "can we call you to collect the rest of the money now". I get that it's a business. But, some compassion or an offer to take off even the cost of the wood I need to replace would have been appreciated. The fence looks great... the customer service and experience is really lacking.

I had a wood privacy fence replaced this year 2025. It was pretty good, I guess. Bout what I expected. A friend recommended them. I guess I shoulda dropped by for a look at his first. I may be pickier than most but…Website said QUALITY materials but I must’ve missed the small print somewhere that said NOT. Fence looked OK when it was first finished. After inspecting it myself after letting it dry out for a month I found SEVERAL (87)split boards, knots that are in the beginning stages of cracking, Warped, bowed or chipped up on edges. It’s pretty roughly milled wood. Don’t wanna run your hand over any of it. Color is inconsistent. All typica...I had a wood privacy fence replaced this year 2025. It was pretty good, I guess. All typical of just about any business’s materials, work force and supervision (a bit sub par)since the big Covid excuse for EVERYTHING so I didn’t see any point in complaining. I paid the bill and moved on. Wood is wood. No quality control with the manufacturer. One 8 ‘ section is leaning inward with bowed boards coming loose. Now I’m sealing it with clear and the color difference in boards is really popping. Installation procedure sure has changed since I put up the first one myself 25 years ago. It’s more like a prop up method. Posts aren’t concreted in. Just left in their holes in the rain and expected the mud to settle and do the trick. When the 2x4s that were strung incorrectly begin to bow I’m more than likely gonna have to just start over or just accept my unique wave design and make up stories for guests. I’ve become pretty used to this kind of stuff over the last 6 years but I shouldn’t have to. Things didn’t used to be like this. I wonder what future generations will do. ??? Google can’t do it for ya. Angi is a joke. Their “professionals” don’t show up for their own scheduled appointment or even call because another easier quick job came up OR they just keep a stack of magnetic signs in the truck to throw on the door for whatever “profession” they feel like tryin for the first time today. I guess AI robots will take over and we’ll just have to take what we get, pay Waay too much for it and then have to sign a certificate of satisfaction plus deal with the HOA for not using vinyl like the neighbor.
I’m not payin $8,000 for a got dang fence, I tell ya what! I feel for anyone running a small business now. Can’t afford enough competent help to keep up with demands of folks like me or to control and operate it. I was in business for over 35 years myself and I didn’t just give up and disappoint my customers. I did what I had to and kept it together ok without tripling prices and blaming “supply chains.” I finally had to retire and just liquidate everything (scrap yard) I had for different reasons but it all just came about that way. I had no choice. Now after 4 months I’m thinkin of startin a fencing business. Just kiddin. I know it ain’t easy for ANY business owner nowadays.
