We worked with Butler chimney back several years ago because we had a chimney fire. The first part of the process was great as the sales rep was very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. Half the work was completed on time but then we had to wait months and months without any response onto when the other half was going to be completed. Needless to say, I think five or six months went by until finally the owner came out to do the rest of the job and thanked us for our patience. We had no patience left at that point, and I would never recommend this company.

The work was completed and I am happy with the result. Scheduling and timeliness were an issue, not sure if this is how it always is, or if it was the perfect storm. Amanda kept me informed but it was challenging to expect contractors who have to continually reschedule. One piece of equipment broke so I understand they needed to await for a replacement part, but there were other delays too. (Had to finish a previous job, but that took 2 days???). Also, yesterday I was raking leaves and found large CHUNKS of what used to be my chimney (My job included the removal of a chimney) on the ground. I'm not talking one or two, I'm talking about 8-10 i...The work was completed and I am happy with the result. I’m writing this review while listening to the sound of water droplets fall into a 5 gallon bucket above my living room ceiling, just for context. I would never under any circumstance recommend this company. My wife had them out once to look at our chimney (Within their 1 year installation warranty) because we had water damage appearing above the fireplace. We were told “Nothing is wrong with our work, must be your roof”. Had a roofing guy come out and replace all the rotted plywood underneath the roof and replace shingles above/below and next to the chimney. Fast forward about a year and here we are. Cut through the drywall in my gara...I’m writing this review while listening to the sound of water droplets fall into a 5 gallon bucket above my living room ceiling, just for context. Cut through the drywall in my garage, installed a small service panel to crawl through to access the sealed up area above my living room & this is what I see. Cut the truss in half, didn’t sister a single thing anywhere and ultimately brace it with 2x4 kickers held in with 1 singular screw on each side. Don’t think that’s how it’s done guys, but what do I know. I’m just the sucker who’s spent thousands on an issue that should’ve never been an issue in the first place.
