Budget transmission masters was able to fix a mistake my other shop had made. It was quick and I’m so grateful for their support, diligence, and care for me as a customer. I was referred to Budget Transmission when I inquired about a fluid exchange for my transmission at Firestone Complete Auto Care. I called and asked for a diagnostic at Budget. I explained my situation about wanting a fluid exchange. They lady on the phone asked about my car's symptoms and told me to bring my car in. I asked if I should get it towed down there. She said no. To just take a back road down there and go slow. I left my car there. Budget called me and quoted me for a new transmission minus the labor cost because the part was already going to cost $6000!! Long story short, never told me I had to pay for the diagnostic. Went to retr... I explained my situation and the guy didn't charge me for the diagnostic. Make your own judgements.
Visiting ABQ from Colorado, my Jeep started acting up... not feeling safe enough to drive long distances. No lights on the dash or codes showing at the auto parts store you start with, but definitely something was wrong. Fran, an absolutely incredible woman, who held space for my slight panic of something being terribly wrong, was AMAZING, not only on the phone but also while I waited. There's clearly a reason he's been in business for 32+ years at this point and I'm grateful I got the recommendation to experience why. Car issues are typically unexpected, both in their occurrence and within their expense, but this shop didn't make it a burden to experience. This shop doesn't make you feel like just another quick buck, like most I've been to, or treat you like you're dumb because you're a woman asking questions about one of the most crucial parts of our daily lives. Bob, Fran, and the entire team, were welcoming, professional, and most importantly, honest in the work that they do. I FULLY recommend to anyone needing work done, and especially to women who want to feel comfortable in the service they're receiving, to go here. Thank you all at Budget Transmission Masters for everything you do! You are now my go to whenever I'm in ABQ!
Excellent experience at Budget Transmission! The staff is professional, helpful, and they go above and beyond for their customers. If you need a diagnostic or transmission work, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
We have a 2002 GMC Yukon and were having shifting issues. I talked to Bob and he talked me off the ledge. Wasn't sure it the vehicle was worth fixing. They ran a diagnosis - found the issue and we a are back on the road. Andrew, the Technician was outstanding! I would recommend this shop to my Mom and anyone else needing transmission work!
