Everything was taken care of the same day! We called in the morning and were able to schedule an appointment for that afternoon. The repairman, Mike, was great! He communicated his arrival time and arrived at that time. He thoroughly explained our repair options and pricing. He worked with us on the price and completed the repairs (new spring and cables) in a timely manner. He even took care of another minor repair (broken hinge) as a courtesy. Incredible experience with Balanced Garage Doors. They were very personable, trustworthy, and professional. Ed came out and did a thorough inspection/estimate, took the time to explain the issues and my options. He gave a very fair price and did not push anything on me as I mentioned I had other quotes. It was an easy decision to go with them from the timliness of the estimate, price, and warranties that they offered. Damien did the install 4 days later. They gave me a timeframe from 12-4 and he showed up right at 12 on the spot. Balanced Garage Door is a great company to work with. I called them twice, and they came out immediately to take a look at my Garage door.
Why four stars and some constructive feedback: Tech diagnosed the issue with the electric board and gave me the option to either repair or replace the motor. I opted for the repair option, considering a one-year warranty on the electric board. Fast forward eight months, and the Garage motor started giving the same issue. I reached out, and they were nice enough to send a supervisor to take a look the next day. The supervisor mentioned that it's not worth claiming the warranty and recommended replacing the...Balanced Garage Door is a great company to work with. I totally understand the supervisor's opinion, but I initially opted for the repair because of the warranty backing it (in my mind, I was covered for a year). I recommend that please be more specific with your customers, especially in case they opt for a repair and explain if it's worth it to spend money on repair.
