Baker Concrete removed our old asphalt driveway and sinking patio and replaced them with concrete. They were reasonably priced, easy to work with and did quality work. We highly recommend this company.
Had a concrete walkway removed and replaced. It started spalling after I put a de-icer on it over the previous winter. Their estimate specified they are not liable for "salt" damage. I did not use salt as a de-icer but rather used Magnesium and a Calcium Chloride and Magnesium Chloride blend. I used these de-icers only 3 times and sparingly as I had to de-ice to protect a renter from slipping. Yet Baker claims that these de-icers fall within their "no salt" warning. They should have been more clear that NO DE-ICERS OF ANY KIND can be used on their concrete to avoid damage. Further I asked Travis their installer when the job was done i... Further I asked Travis their installer when the job was done if there was anything I needed to do to the concrete after install and he said no. Accordingly I never sealed it prior to last winter based on his advice (I've never had concrete work done before so was uneducated on the process.) So now I have damaged concrete and it likely will only get worse. They offered me no remedy even though I offered to work with them to make things right. Unfortunately based on my experience and given the fact that they refused to work with me at all I would not recommend this company. The project costed me $5,750, $2,000 of which was for the sidewalk repair...UPDATE: their directions were flawed and not specific enough so therefore I don't bear any blame for "not following directions". I did not use salt I used other materials that were NOT salt or rock salt as these were not listed as potentially being harmful to the concrete on their estimate. I called the company after the damage was done to try to offer to work something out perhaps even to cover their cost to rip out and replace (in other words to work with them) but never got a response from Baker.
