American Transmission Rebuilders

I was about to buy another car. Fixed it in a few days. When another mechanic quoted me 6K I paid 1800 here.

Had to replace my transmission in my great Nissan Pathfinder at 130k. American Transmission Rebuilders was recommended by a friend who is a mechanic and deals with them regularly. They gave me a quote and stuck to it. They did the job and I picked it up in a week. I had a light come on for my breaks after and I brought it back and they found out that it was a leak on my rear brake caliper. They tightened the loose bolt and filled up my brake fluid for nothing. Hopefully I won't ever have to go back but if I did, I definitely would.

I meant to write this quite some time ago. These folks did the repair and rebuild on my 2003 Jeep Liberty's NV3550 5-speed manual gearbox about 2 or 3 years back. Had around 150,000 miles on it and a shot bearing. I couldn't have been more impressed with work and service they provided, and when they were done, that transmission shifted like the day it rolled out of the factory. True professionals who really know how to work on a gearbox.

Vinnie really helps his customers out. I own a transmission shop in Mississippi. He had a customer call him with a minor leak that had driven down here from Delaware. He contacted me and asked if I could take a look at it. We did and Vinnie told me to do whatever needed to be done and let him now when it was done and he'd take care of it. We did and he did.
