American Pride Automotive (Yorktown)

My Toyota RAV4 was due for the annual inspection so I checked on line for a local shop to perform that inspection. I chose American Pride and I am so glad I did. From the minute I walked in the front door I was immediately greeted with a smile and a "How may I help you?" I had made my appointment on line so they knew why I was there. From the cheerful and welcoming greeting to the professional, competent service, everything about American Pride lives up to its name. Their dedication to their customers is evident from the courteous service offered and the thoughtfulness of items in both the lobby and the restrooms. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else to be serviced and have dealt with them with everything from inspections and oil changes to major engine work. Highly recommend.

American Pride in Yorktown and their staff are exemplary and will be who we always trust with our vehicle needs and maintenance! We were able to go online to schedule our vehicle for a state inspection, which is so helpful with work schedules. The night before our scheduled inspection, our vehicle got a flat tire. I called first thing in the morning, spoke with TC, and he was very understanding and immediately moved our appointment to the following week. I should start by sayin that when I bought my new car from a dealership, I was swayed by the “free maintenance for life” that was never actually free, so I used them instead of American Pride for 6 years. Big mistake. Toyota didn’t do half the work they said they had done, which is the only reason I needed service to begin with. That brings us to the present: It was below freezing, and my car didn’t start. Within seconds of reaching out to American Pride, they promised to look at it that day and give me answers. disapointing, while the staff was very friendly and customer service was fine. I took in my 2000 Toyota Avalon that was leaking power steering fluid. After complete diagnostic I was given a list of repairs that needed to be done. Started off Rack and Pinion replaced as well as replaced axle shaft. Fixed in timely manner but when I picked the car up my CVS light was on and wouldnt go off. Called back and was told to bring car back in to check. Mind you my light was not on when i took the car in and there was no mention of an issue on the diagnostic report given.
