Go visit Uncle Al! He helped me out a ton with my vacuum, and gave me great advice even though I didn’t end up making a purchase. An honest, trustworthy, genuine small business owner is hard to find these days, and Al’s the best of them.. Enjoyed a good chat with him as well.

He not only instructs and helps people with their vacuum issues, but does so with presence, care, and outstanding professionalism. From the moment I arrived and explained the issue, he knew there wasn’t much that could be done for my vacuum. My vacuum started to make weird sounds and stopped picking up anything - but as much as I wanted to throw the thing out and just get a new one (it was about 4 or 5 years old at this point), I remembered seeing this store while walking through Somerville and decided to bring my machine in. Boy am I glad I did! Allan was so knowledgeable and kind - explaining features I didn’t realize I had and giving me recommendations for upkeep. He took apart my vacuum while I was there and resolved the issue in less than 30 minutes! I would recommend this shop to anyone considering throwing out their vacuum and just buying a new one - bring it here first! T...
