I went to this repair shop twice. The first time was to understand why my Ford escape 2012 was making a chirping sound. They charged me $40 to inspect the vehicle not a problem. I came back the second time around a couple months later and told them I figured out the problem there was an exhaust leak somewhere. They told me it's only an exhaust hanger repair and wanted to charge me $250... I said no there's an exhaust leak this has nothing to do with hangers on the exhaust. They tried to basically scam me out my money by not actually fixing the problem at hand which was an exhaust leak in my muffler and converter.

We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with A Amigo Auto Repair. We went in for a vehicle inspection required by Uber before registering to drive, and we feel completely scammed.
The mechanic waited until after completing the inspection and collecting the fee to inform us that our car had failed — because of the window tint. This is something that could’ve (and should’ve) been pointed out before even starting the inspection, especially since it was visible right away.
It felt incredibly dishonest and like a setup to take our money knowing the car wouldn’t pass.
