I recently had my family’s chair and table set restored beyond its original glory with Kunicki Restoration! This was a set made by the carpenter who made all the furniture in the famous Hofbräu Haus in München, Germany. My parents were stationed nearby in the early 1960’s, and my mom was able to track down the carpenter and commission him to make table/chair sets for all the US Army officers. Our set has traveled all over the world as we moved back and forth between Germany and the USA. This was a daily use table and chair set that had seen no TLC since 1964. After my father passed, I rescued it from my brother’s pool house. Water stains from a flood, and general neglect had settled in over the years until I met with Chris! He enthusiastically brought back the stunning beauty that the years of neglect were hiding. I am so happy with his work. Chris shows a passion for restoration. You can feel it from the first handshake. Highly highly highly recommend him for any restoration project!!

We live in Pueblo, CO and have two pieces that belonged to great grandparents. They are solid maple dressers that had been in storage for decades, were covered in stickers (kids) and were in very bad shape. To say Chris restored these pieces would be an understatement because his work is nothing short of transcendent. These dressers have lovingly been restored back to complete works of art. The customer service was just as impressive as the quality of the work. Not only does Chris have an eye for beauty and extreme talent with furniture, he clearly loves what he does.

Kunicki Restoration really exceeded my expectations! My Great Grandmother's rocker that she used for her children was passed down to me from my grandfather and mother. We believe it is 122 years old. Someone sat in it and it split. Thankfully down a seam. However, it is very old and frankly needed to be restored fully. Chris at Kunicki Restoration repaired and restored all seams, sanded it down to the beautiful bare wood and re stained it with a nearly natural finish. I could not be more please. Highly recommend Kunicki Restoration.

In 1950, my father built a mid century modern home and furnished it with Eames, Saarinen, Noguchi and others. Over the years I have entrusted refinishers to bring them back to life, piece by piece. Being new to the Denver area, I found Kunicki and was DELIGHTED with their work. Sadly, my Bruno Mathsson dining table had been stored for decades in an old garage, plus it was covered with years of nicotine. My Noguchi table had split along the grain lines, and prior repairs had not worked. I entrusted my precious pieces with Kunicki, and the results were amazing. The grain of the table came to life, and the complicated legs and folding structure that had fallen apart returned the table to its unique design. Special black paint was ordered to complete the Noguchi renovation. Be ready to allow a lot of time for this work to be completed. After all these years, we were not in a hurry and the final result was amazing. So many memories!

Little over a month ago I gave Chris a puzzle, my grandparents 100 year old table. It was in pieces and I had no idea how it went together nor a picture to go by. Chris is so compassionate and he understood how I wanted to preserve the character and the stories of the table. He kept me informed and even gave me a sneak peek. I just can't say enough about Chris's work. He had boards that were warped, no pattern, no pictures, it truly was a puzzle but he did it and it is BEAUTIFUL!! I would highly recommend Chris Kunicki with any of you projects, I will be giving him some more work myself.
