I’m not someone who usually writes reviews, especially not about mold removal, but this felt important. I’m 67 and my husband’s 71, and we’ve lived in our house near Dunegant Park for 25 years without ever seeing anything like what I found last month behind the refrigerator. It wasn’t just a tiny spot—it looked like a full-on mold infestation, and for a second I thought we were dealing with toxic mold exposure. I reached out to Expert Mold Removal because they’re not far from Florissant Meadows, and was shocked they picked up immediately. The tech came out same day. He took photos, did a quick affordable mold assessment, and explained exactly how the mold remediation would work. He set up one of those HEPA filter systems to clean the air circulation, used a moisture and mold detection tool, and never once made us feel like we were being upsold. It felt respectful and very professional. I still get anxious thinking about how long the black mold might’ve been there, but the house smells normal again and I’m finally sleeping through the night. That means more than I can really put into words.

I was pulling up old trim in a fixer-upper near Howdershell Park when I spotted what looked like a little discoloration… turns out it was black mold creeping behind the walls. I’ve dealt with plenty of repairs, but a toxic mold issue is not something you mess with. Called Expert Mold Removal and they had a certified mold inspector out that afternoon. He explained the whole mold remediation process in plain English, showed me moisture detection readings, and even pointed out spots I would not have thought to check. Their containment setup kept the air quality safe, and the affordable mold cleanup came in under my budget. The musty smell is gone, and the space is ready for drywall again. I am honestly impressed - quick, thorough, and no drama.

Honestly, I ignored it for too long. The corner by our water heater — near the stairs leading down to the basement — started to smell like wet cardboard. I live just off Patterson Road near the church, and after that last storm, the whole lower level stayed damp for weeks. I figured it was minor, but then I noticed dark streaks on the lower drywall — and I started coughing more at night. I called Expert Mold Removal half-expecting them to tell me I was overreacting. They didn’t. They found black mold behind the baseboards and showed me the moisture levels with this little handheld tool. They set up a containment zone, ran these HEPA air scrubbers, and gave me a step-by-step mold remediation plan with no pressure. They even helped file the mold damage report for my insurance. I didn’t realize how bad my air quality had gotten until it got better. Still dealing with repairs, but at least the toxic part’s gone.
